X-Men Apocalypse

Apocalypse has awakened; he is the first and most powerful of all mutants. He has existed for all of time, he is notoriously invincible – and he is also unhappy with the world he now surveys: earth in the early 1980s. In his efforts to create a new world order, he recruits Magneto and other mutants including Ororo Munroe, Angel, and Psylocke.

Peace on earth under threat; Professor Xavier and Mystique (Raven) assemble a team of young X-Men to stop the almighty Apocalypse. With new and recognisable faces amongst the students at Professor’s Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters there is much potential in their plight to thwart Apocalypse, and his Four Horsemen. As Magneto, at Apocalypse’s behest, makes his powers felt worldwide, cities crumble and civilisation begins to collapse. Meanwhile, personal battles are fought between henchmen and X-Men, but who will prevail?

This is the sixth instalment of the main strand of X-Men films, and the ninth in the entire series. It was directed by Bryan Singer, and the screenplay was written by Simon Kinberg.
